Bill’s Townhouse

Christmas is certainly in the New York air as 5th Avenue department stores begin to display their store fronts. It is a classic New York image painted in our minds; walking down the Avenue on the arm of our loved one admiring the beautiful windows. This holiday spirit entices friendly competition between Tiffany’s and Cartier, Bergdorfs and Saks, between The Plaza and the St. Regis. This annual tradition invites many admires, and many more shoppers, but, this tradition also offers something else. It offers a romantic escape that is enchanting and purely delightful.

In the midst of this enchanting area is an equally enchanting eatery. Bill’s bt3Townhouse, on 54th street between Madison and Park has made a home in a vintage house dating back to the 1860’s. Only a few steps away from the enchanting store fronts, Bill’s Townhouse is inspired by the exclusive private clubs of England and offers just as much visual pleasure as the lit up store fronts only a few blocks away. Intricate woodwork is prominent throughout the three floored townhouse turned eatery. On the walls hang portraits of patriarchs past, vintage maps of the English countryside, maps of old New York, and many black and white photos that instill a sense of familiarity.

The luxe top floor of Bill’s Townhouse is perfect for a private gathering ~ ’tis the season after all! The room is warmed by an ornate fireplace and color patterns of lush red chairs, royal blue walls, accents of gold and tartan curtains! bt2

In the evening, after you and your sweetheart have admired the windows of 5th Avenue, finish your evening at Bill’s Townhouse. Enjoy the music of a live pianist, and a menu that is traditional, delicious and accommodating to everyone!
