“A love of the old is not new, it has just never been seen on such a large commercial scale.”

And now for something light hearted!

I love Downton Abbey, as does my girlfriend, many, many Americans and of course Britons. Due to my lack of knowledge of interior decorating however, I was unaware that it was driving a fashion in decorating the inside of homes. This author seems to believe that the craze for the old has gone too far, I encouraged to see people decorating their homes in traditional styles. What do you think? Is it really Downton Abbey or could something else be driving the love for sentimentality? Is this a positive or negative trend?
