A Step in the Right Direction

I am happy with the final results of the spending review. Ending the “something for nothing” culture is important for Britain, and the fact that defence was spared massive cuts is further important. I am happy too that the top 45p rate is not being raised and I am further please that corporate tax will continue to fall. Britain is heading in the right direction, and the Tories should get some praise for strong arming the lib dems to accept these cuts. If only America would do something like this….oh wait we don’t cut spending, we let our ruling Democratic party buy off constituencies with government goodies, spy on our people and blackmail their opponents with the tax authorities (IRS targeting the tea party) yet we get really excited about meaningless gay marriage decisions from our Supreme Court while our debt and deficit spiral on out of control with no end in site. I know the Conservative government is not perfect but bravo for a serious government that is interested in encouraging a hard work culture and cutting out of control government spending. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/spending-review/10144841/Osborne-wields-welfare-axe.html
